  11. I decided to do my further  contributions in a 'digested' form,  i.e.  I
  12. read everything at home,  and compile  everything into one or two  large
  13. replies.  So  you  can skip  my  rubbish with  a  single stroke  on  the
  14. 'd' key.

  29. Sounds good! Why not have Control A for deselect all (clear selection or
  30. hide block as Tim  calls it) and Shift Control  A for select all?  After
  31. all,  in a (control + key) and (shift + control + key) combination,  the
  32. combi with SHIFT should be the 'stronger' one.

  36. As to Shift + Backspace,  UNDO should definitely provide help there.  We
  37. must keep that.

  43. We definitely need the reverse search next.  Just the radio button isn't
  44. sufficient.  It is annoying to have to open a dialog for that.

  46. Shift Ctrl  Y  for delete  paragraph  is word-processor  dedicated.   It
  47. shouldn't be part of a general standard.  It'd be more orthogonal to let
  48. it mean 'cut line  and append that  to the copy  buffer'.  BTW,  I  also
  49. doubt the use of Shift Control C  for 'copy and append to copy  buffer'.
  50. Had that in  Edith for  a while,   but it was  more of  a nuisance  than
  51. useful.

  57.    Actually, they do.  They use the shift key held down while the arrow and 
  58.    other movement keys are used to select the area.  Since we don't have the 
  59.    right keys on the Atari keyboard, we can't do this, although, I have 
  60.    thought of using the right shift key for this purpose.

  62. Right shift key---not  a bad idea  at all.  However,   some people  very
  63. much like to  be able to  move pages up  and down with  just one  hand, 
  64. using the right shift key...

  74. Germany not being willing  to implement any proposal.   It just hit  the
  75. wrong spot after I had just seen Ofir's second proposal taking over  the
  76. Control U and Control W codes the 'German' way...
